Terms of Use
Last updated: October 14, 2026
PDF Engine is an online web service for PDF, image, and related document tasks, used directly in your browser. It is not a downloadable desktop software product and does not distribute a desktop application, software installer, browser extension, or plugin. Files made available for download are the document, image, or other output produced by a tool—not software installers.
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.
File support and output
Not every file, browser or operation is supported. Encrypted, damaged, unusually large or complex documents may fail. Compression and grayscale conversion can render pages as images and remove selectable text. Cropping changes the visible crop box and does not securely erase hidden content. Form flattening works only with supported fields. Always inspect the downloaded output and keep a backup of the original.
Acceptable use
Only process files you have permission to use. Do not use the service for unlawful activity, copyright infringement, or attempts to disrupt the website. You are responsible for the files you select and the use of the results.
No professional advice or warranty
The tools are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or suitability for a particular purpose. Results should be verified before use in legal, financial, business, academic or other important contexts.
Third-party services
The website may load fonts and JavaScript libraries from third-party providers. Their services are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Changes and contact
Features and these terms may change as the project develops. For questions or bug reports, use the PDF Engine GitHub issue tracker. Do not post sensitive documents or personal information in public issues.
